Project Reveal | River Road Remodel Part 3

We are thrilled to be sharing the third and final reveal of our River Road Remodel. We had so much fun pulling every inch of this home together from start to finish. Check out Part 1 and Part 2 of our Project Reveal if you haven’t already!

While our River Road Remodel was brought down to the studs in a majority of the spaces, there were still a few existing nooks that allowed for creative design moments like the book shelf and bench above. Our client actually brought a similar concept to the table one meeting. We worked together to create a one of a kind design that felt cohesive with the rest of the spaces in the home. For a family of book lovers, this spot is one of their favorites.

From the start of this project, we knew this grand foyer deserved the perfect lighting fixture. We mirrored the iron spindles on the railing with an updated and approachable aged iron chandelier. The main purpose of the upper level loft was for a fun space for the kids to play and read together. We used Benjamin Moore Tate Olive on the cabinetry, accented with leather and brass pulls. We also had fun mixing up the patterns on the built in benches with a custom upholstered cushion and pillows.

When it came to the kids bedrooms we wanted to create spaces that were youthful but would also grow with them for years to come. Durability was also a huge factor in the shared boys bathroom. We wrapped the walls in a navy blue subway tile, paired with a hex flooring tile and stained vanity. We had fun mixing metals with stainless and brass fixtures.

We also took a mixed metals approach in the girl’s bathroom, pairing the Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter vanity with the perfectly pink patterned Rebecca Atwood wallpaper. We mirrored the finish on the vanity with the unique but timeless taupe subway tile on the shower surround. We went with a soft but feminine feel and tied the girls bathroom in when considering the patterns and finishes in her adjacent bedroom.

Overall, we could not be more proud of our River Road Remodel. This home is a true testament to collaboration and trust between the homeowners and their build+ design team. See all the spaces (and some jaw dropping before/afters) in the Summer issue of Inspired Home Magazine.
