Project Reveal | Long Lake Master Bedroom Remodel
Remodels are always so rewarding, and what’s better than a Minnesota Lakes Area Master Suite? This space had such good bones. Tall ceilings, a cozy reading nook, and amazing windows that showcase the beautiful lake view. We loved pulling together the finishings and furnishings that a space like this deserves!
The existing finishes in the space were just, dark. We worked with a local custom cabinetry maker to design a white washed oak vanity that was functional and beautiful. The inset slab drawer fronts but a fresh twist on the traditional feel in the space. We complimented the white washed oak cabinetry and crisp white countertops with aged bronze hardware + fixtures that add just the perfect balance of contrast in the space.
The tile within this space makes one of the biggest impacts. We wanted to incorporate a timeless but durable option. We selected a marble-look porcelain tile for the shower walls, flooring and main bathroom flooring. The new white washed oak hardwoods transition from the bathroom to the master bedroom to replace the existing carpet.
Our clients were totally on board with special millwork details in both the bedroom + bathroom. The traditional wainscoting compliments the tall ceilings and draws the eye upwards. To make the bedroom feel a bit more special, we opted for Benjamin Moore Stonington Grey paint on all of the walls. The soft grey paired with the Benjamin Moore Decorators White Trim makes for a fresh feel through out the space.
We took advantage of the tall ceilings and anchored the most stunning white branch chandelier with a four post bed. The bench, lamps and side table bring in a bit of texture and warmth within the space. We selected white linen bedding to create softness and comfort.
For the sitting corner, we wanted it to feel elegant but casual. The armchairs are the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the surrounding lake views year around.
