We were apart of the design from the very beginning stages of this home, which includes floor planning and concept completion. We worked closely with the architect and builder on this project each step of the way. Since this home is not a pre-sold and is acting as a spec house for the future development planned for it’s surrounding neighborhood, we were really allowed to let our creativity fly. The furniture in this home were planning for 100% staging purposes, so we were able to really mix high and low for price points. We love a good Wayfair deal just like anyone, but we choose carefully and mix/match when it comes to quality and price point.

The dining room is the perfect example of a small space packing a major punch. The floor plan of this home maximized the open concept feel with a large island, so we decided to for-go the formal dining room. We mixed in finished found through out the home and went for the texture. I’ve linked the exact light fixture and similar dining chairs. I sat on these beauties at High Point Market a few weeks ago and they are so comfortable.

Since the goal of this home was to appeal to several personal styles, but also stand out, we really mixed neutrals in both the finishes and decor. I was so impressed by the quality of the rug we used for the price point. The colors are also super true to the photo. Don’t forget to purchase a good felt rug pad, too!

The pieces we used really compliment the neutral finishes we used, including the white washed oak built-in’s and custom fireplace mantle. For the surround, we went with a quartz made to look like natural soapstone. All the beauty of natural soapstone, half the price point and half the maintenance.

The kitchen was hands down the show stopper of this space, and the oversized pendants brought the drama we wanted. We chose a natural antique finish to bring warmth and dimension. I also knew I wanted to go for it with blending the wood finishes in this space, the barstools we used created such a cohesive look paired with the flooring and island finish.
